Plans to introduce NASA+ live content to Netflix have been announced by the US space agency NASA.
In addition to watching stunning live views of Earth from the International Space Station, viewers will be able to stream rocket launches, astronaut spacewalks, and mission coverage.
Rebecca Sirmons, general manager of NASA+ at the agency’s Washington headquarters, stated, “The National Aeronautics and Space Act of 1958 calls on us to share our story of space exploration with the broadest possible audience.” From the comfort of their couch or the palm of their hand via their phone, we are dedicated to a Golden Age of Innovation and Exploration—inspiring the next generation.
Ad-free NASA+ will continue to be accessible via the NASA app and the agency’s website.
It was revealed last month that French areas would have access to the French commercial broadcaster TF1 on Netflix. This most recent action implies that Netflix is expanding its reach even further.
